WHY DEGENERATE…
ABOUT US…….

At Degenerate Coffee Co., we believe great coffee shouldn’t be complicated, but it should be done right.
We’re a small batch roastery based in Roswell, New Mexico, built from blue-collar roots and a passion for creating something real. No gimmicks. No shortcuts. Just thoughtfully roasted coffee, crafted with care and backed by a work ethic that doesn’t quit.
Our journey started the way a lot of good things do, after hours, with big ideas, and a relentless need to build something that matters. Degenerate Coffee Co. was born out of that energy, the drive to create, to contribute, and to give our community something worth waking up for.
We’re not trying to be the biggest, we’re focused on being the best at what we do. From our hands to yours, every batch is roasted on-site with attention to detail and a love for the process. Around here, there’s no room for bad coffee. Literally.
Our slogan says it best: slangin’ coffee. It’s what we do, and we take pride in doing it right. Whether you’re stopping by for your favorite roast or just curious about what we’re all about, we’re here to serve up something bold, honest, and unapologetically local.
This is coffee with character, built from the ground up, fueled by passion, and rooted in community.
Why “Degenerate”?
Traditionally, degenerate means to decline to fall below what’s considered “normal” or “acceptable.” But we’re not here for traditional.
At Degenerate Coffee Co., we’ve reclaimed the word. To us, degenerate means defying the status quo. It means breaking free from the polished, the packaged, and the mass-produced. We’re not here to blend in—we’re here to roast bold, honest coffee for people who value authenticity over appearances.
We come from blue-collar roots. We know what it means to build something from the ground up—with your own hands, your own vision, and a whole lot of hustle. Being “degenerate” in our world means refusing to compromise. It means staying true to the craft, keeping things raw, and doing things our way.
We roast for the grinders, the creatives, the doers, and the misfits. The ones who don’t need approval they just need a damn good cup of coffee to keep moving.
Because doing things your own way isn’t a flaw it’s a feature.
